An exceptional site :
From an altitude of 240 to 320 metres, the Winzenberg dominates the town of Blienschwiller. Its steep south-south-east-facing slope guarantees exceptional exposure to the sun. Covering 19,20 ha its microclimate and granite-mica soil are particularly favourable to the production of Grand Cru wines.
Favoured varietals :
The Winzenberg is especially suited to Riesling and to Gewurztraminer, without forgetting Tokay Pinot Gris.
Within living memory...
Often quoted in historical documents, the Winzenberg's reputation has been founded on centuries of proud tradition.
Typical characteristics :
Winzenberg wines develop a very marked floral character of great finesse, and age very well in bottle.
