Is it true that some "vins d'Alsace" are outstanding for drinks as "aperitifs" ?which ones ?

Basically, you have 3 major wines for aperitifs : Muscat , Pinot Gris (former Tokay Pinot Gris) and Gewurztraminer. Muscat with its musky fruity flavor and dry character will be perfect with bretzels or a Kugelhopf (traditional alsatian cake). Pinot Gris with its more complex bouquet is stronger but more easy to drink to "uneducated "palate; therefore it will match any aperitif. Gewurztraminer has flavors of flowers and exotic fruit parfums; Spicy and rich in alcohol. the Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives or Selection Grains Nobles will drive you to ecstasy! you will appreciate it as much as an aperitif (you can easily drink it alone) or dessert.
cheers!
